Paul-Antoni Bonetti
Paul-Antoni Bonetti completed his Bachelor of Music degree in
Composition at the University of Queensland in 2003, originally majoring in
Classical Guitar. Since then, his prize winning acclaim for compositions
includes the APRA prize in the 2006 3MBS national composer awards competition,
the University of Queensland Percy Brier Award in 2003 and many performances of
compositions for orchestra, choir and other ensembles.
He was a recent participant in the the 2005/2006 Symphony Australia composer
development program and his piece Urban Machinations was premiered by Orchestra
Victoria under the direction of Richard Mills. His fanfare for orchestra Laudate
was premiered in May 2006 by Brisbane Symphony Orchestra under the baton of his
father Antoni.
Throughout 2006 he has written two major choral works that have been received
warmly by local choral groups and organisations. Some of his choral works are
projected for CD releases by Brisbane Chamber Choir and the choir of Christ
Church St. Lucia.
In addition to singing in Brisbane Chamber Choir, Paul also sings in a
professional vocal quartet called "Guido's Hand".He is also a heavily active
participant in the Brisbane choral scene, being a singer in "So-la Voce" chamber
choir directed by Réka Csernyik and "The Lucians", also directed by Graeme
Morton. He is a serving chamber choir committee member.

Matthew Crossley
Matthew Crossley currently studies at Griffith University,
partaking in his third year of a Bachelor of Photonics and Nanoscience course.
He hopes to further his studies through to the doctorate level, and looks
towards developing and refining alternate energy sources. Music is the balancing
element in his life, playing numerous instruments and participating in many
ensembles. Apart from science and music there is little time to spread around,
but he enjoys time with his mates playing poker and going to concerts.
He has sung in both the Lucian Singers and Brisbane Chamber Choir under Graeme
Morton for the past two years, and continuing these on, also sings baritone in a
small close harmony male ensemble. Being a NYCA member for the past three years,
and a chorister in the St Peters Chorale's tour of Europe in 2004 are a few of
the highlights of his choral history.

Mark Griffin
Mark has recently returned from three and a half years living
abroad to work in the School of Mathematical Sciences at QUT, his research
revolves around medical image analysis, and he collaborates with clinicians at
the Wesley, Royal Brisbane and Prince Charles Hospitals. His time overseas was
spent working at the Montreal Neurological Institute and for Novartis (in Basel,
Switzerland). He currently holds a Bachelor of Computer Engineering, Bachelor of
Science (computer science and mathematics), Graduate Diploma in Statistics, and
a PhD in Numerical Mathematics. He is also currently studying for a Masters in
Medical Statistics.
While in Canada and Switzerland Mark really discovered cross-country skiing.
Upon his return to Australia he's had mixed feelings about giving that up, but
has really enjoyed getting back into water sports such as swimming (aiming at
1.5km each morning) and scuba diving. Hiking has always featured prominently on
his "out of the office" itinery.
Mark actually got into choral singing "by accident". As a mathematician he found
it tough being forced to choose two humanities to study at high school, and
chose music as the least painful of the options. His music teacher strongly
encouraged his students to join a musical group at the school, and so Mark
dutifully joined the school choir. Much to his surprise Mark developed a love
for singing, and has now been singing in choirs for twenty years. Mark spent his
time in Montreal singing in the choir of the main United cathedral in Montreal
(St James cathedral), and his time in Switzerland singing in the BaselMunster.
Mark joined the Chamber choir in August 2006.

Matt Hadgraft
Matt started as a chorister in St John's Cathedral choir under Dr Robert Boughen. He has actively pursued music ever since, studying piano, musicology and theory at the Queensland Conservatorium, and then later education.
Education would prove frustrating for a wannabe entertainer, so Matt now works variously as a copywriter for SEA FM at the Gold Coast, a piano teacher, and Benny in the ABBA tribute show "Dancing Queen."
Ambitiously Matt wants to host Play School and produce a sketch comedy show. He has a cat named Tiffany and enjoys gardening, coffee, correcting grammar and laughing at people.
Besides St John's Cathedral Choir, Matt has sung with Canticum, St Stephen's Cathedral Choir and the ACU Choir. Over the years he has sung Byrd's Ave Verum Corpus as a soprano, alto, tenor AND bass! Matt joined the chamber choir in 2006.

Robin Maurer
Robin studied classical voice at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Performance. He then decided to follow the well-worn path of many other music graduates by undertaking further study in another field, which is often described as a “good career move”. He is currently in the third year of a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Queensland and thoroughly enjoying the experience. He also works as a Hospitality Officer at QPAC.
Rob is a big fan of the outdoors, particularly enjoying his road cycling, swimming and bushwalking. He is a keen gardener who, like many, is valiantly fighting an uphill battle against dry weather and water restrictions, with the added bonus of having to contend with a family of eight marauding scrub turkeys (kindly fed by his next door neighbour!) that seem to take great delight in demolishing Rob’s back yard on a daily basis.
Singing, and particularly choral music, has played an important part of Rob’s family for many generations. As a young lad he performed regularly as a treble soloist and over the years has sung in choral groups such as St Peters Chorale, the Conservatorium Chamber Choir, Canticum, and the National Youth Choir of Australia (NYCA). Rob is also currently an active member of the Brisbane Concert Choir and the St Andrew’s Sanctuary Choir. Robin has been a member of the Brisbane Chamber Choir bass section since 2004.

Jason Schoutrop
Outside of Choir rehearsals, Jason spends his time working as a
doctor. He is currently working on finishing his training in anaesthesia and is
perfecting his technique of putting people to sleep. In a previous life, though,
Jason also completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) at the university of
Queensland.
Outside of work and choir Jason does try to travel to far and exotic places and
also tries to get onto his rollerblades when he can. Any spare time Jason has is
taken up with 2 precocious beagles named Charlie and Teesha who run the
household.
Jason really started serious choral singing after high school when he joined
Graeme Morton's ensemble Cantus. From there he was a foundation member of The
Australian Voices in 1994 and has sung with other groups over the next 10 years.
During that time he was also fortunate to be involved in numerous overseas
choral tours. He Joined Brisbane Chamber Choir in 2000 and is also the current
Librarian and committee member.

Mark Young
Mark is currently an Anaesthetic Registrar, having graduated from
The University of Queensland in 1999 with Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery. In
2006 he successfully passed the Final Examination of the Australian and New
Zealand College of Anaesthetists and will complete his training at the end of
2007.
Mark met his wife Anna during high school when they were both in the Queensland
Conservatorium Music School Choir, conducted by the late Dr John Nickson. They
both went on to become foundation members of The Australian Voices, and have
been members of Brisbane Chamber Choir when study and work commitments have
allowed. They have also been members of The Lucian Singers since early 2005. In
2005, Anna gave birth to Sarah, who is an aspiring member of the Lucian Singers
and may yet make her recording debut in the their upcoming recoding project.
