The Brisbane Chamber Choir gave two wonderful performances at the prestigious Bangalow Festival on 14th and 15th August, 2010. On Saturday we performed "The Passing of the Year" by Jonathon Dove, accompanied by the distinguished Liam Viney on piano. Our own concert, "Magnificat", was the final concert of the festival and was very well received by the packed St Kevin's church.
On 24th July, Brisbane Chamber Choir travelled to Kingaroy, in the South Burnett district, to join local choral singers for a weekend "Singfest". Events included workshops for local musicians, choristers and choral conductors, as well as a massed choir. The choir also had the opportunity to taste some local wines. An enjoyable weekend all round!
