Welcome to the Brisbane Chamber Choir website, an ensemble of twenty singers based in Brisbane, Australia. The choir's performances are based around three to four concerts a year, with concerts usually held at St John's Cathedral with which the choir is associated. The choir is committed to performing choral music of all periods and styles.

Brisbane Chamber Choir AUDITIONS

Brisbane Chamber Choir has an exciting and diverse programme for 2010. Consider being part of it by auditioning. Contact Graeme Morton at director@brisbanechamberchoir.org to arrange an audition/interview. The choir rehearses at Indooroopilly on Wednesday evenings.

Highlights include:
EASTER AT ST JOHNS CATHEDRAL - if you ever enjoy singing in a cathedral Easter is the best time

HANDEL'S MESSIAH WITH THE CAMERATA OF ST JOHN'S - a more sprightly and vigorous performance of Messiah than you are used to

GERMAN MASTERS CONCERT AT BANGALOW - This year we are invited to be part of Paul Dean's wonderful Bangalow Festival

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC - including Johathan Dove's "The Passing of the Year" and new commissions from Paul Dean

BRAHMS REQUIEM - Usually done by the "big" choirs, this performance, combined with the St Stepehn's Schola will nourish your mind and soul

BCC DOES CHRISTMAS - As we do ever so often, again in St John's Cathedral.

Vacancies exist in most all parts, but particularly Tenors and Altos. Please contact the Director, Graeme Morton, at director@brisbanechamberchoir.org for further details. Auditions will be conducted by arrangement before Wednesday November 25, and at that time there will be an open rehearsal for all who have auditioned, so that you can work with the Director, hear the BCC sound, and discover how amazing membership in this fabulous choir can be.
