Joining us for this celebration of Queensland's 150th
Anniversary will be The Queensland Orchestra String Quartet,
whose members all play in the state’s flagship Symphony
Orchestra. For the concert, Brisbane Chamber Choir received
Q150 Community Program funding to commission two new choral
works by emerging local composers, Joseph Twist and
Paul-Antoni Bonetti. They have each written a stunning work
for choir and string quartet, a rarely heard ensemble.
The concert will also include Arvo Pärt’s deeply moving and
beautiful Berliner Messe for choir and strings. After the
concert, you are warmly invited to join the performers for
an informal supper.
Entry $30, concession $20
